PRE-FALL 2023
Pre-Fall 2023 is a collection of effortless yet considered garments, featuring voluminous silhouettes, technical materials and pieces designed with the intention of high-low dressing. Following on from an exploration of craft and process in Spring/Summer 2023, the new season builds upon Nanushka’s brand values of innovative craft and instiling function in beauty.
“When designing this collection, we were drawn to the simplicity of clothing and how easily you can create refreshing looks depending on how you accessorize and mix materials. Nanushka has juxtaposed materials and textures in previous seasons, but for Pre-Fall 2023 there is a stronger emphasis on creating designs that harmonize to celebrate high-low dressing. Pre-Fall 2023 is a collection of pieces that can be styled cohesively with each other to create a balanced, versatile and sustainable wardrobe.”

No-waste tailoring remains a design consideration, with Pre-Fall 2023 exploring upcycled materials, from slip satin and bouclé crepe to heavy poplin. Nomad-inspired styles, made from airy yet midweight materials such as twill silk, lean into the traveler archetype; a key Pre-Fall 2023 design theme that applies distant cultural references in a decorative fashion.
Meanwhile summer fabrications like salt wash jacquard, seersucker and paper crochet offer tactility and are further juxtaposed through explorative layering techniques.
Neutral tones remain fundamental to the Nanushka palette, with new-season hues of curry and honey offering warmth to Pre-Fall 2023. Vibrant orange and lime additions also inject a burst of energy throughout ready-to-wear and accessories – namely, the Origami and Concertina bags – whilst darker carbon and fossil gray tones make a subtle statement.
