Nanushka unveils its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled ‘The Weave’. A refined exploration of crafted modernity, grounded in heritage and reimagined for the modern day.
Inspired by Cuban-born designer Clara Porset, ‘The Weave’ pays homage to the spirit of functional beauty. Renowned for transforming everyday items into objects of art, Porset’s influence, alongside Nanushka’s clashing prints, tactile textures and structural softness, is noticeable throughout.
At its core, the collection is a celebration of interconnectedness. Weaving is explored both literally and symbolically; as a technique rooted in intention and patience, and as a metaphor for cultural dialogue and female legacy. Drawing design references from Latin-American landscapes and natural forms, the collection channels the freedom and energy of summer.
The Alonza jacket returns for Summer in bonded linen with a sculpted Okobor™collar, breathing new life into the season. Evening Wear embraces casual ease through crisp poplin shirting, transformed for impact into floor- length dresses, while satin in lilac and champagne shades offers fluid drape for more formal occasions.
Heritage techniques are reinterpreted with modern sensibility, balancing ease and structure. Cotton jersey is hand-cut, knotted, and fringed with monogrammed applications, while linen suiting is elevated by a cold-dye technique producing a smudged and bled effect ideal for true summer dressing.
Straw and natural textures bring grounded, organic qualities to modern forms — echoing the collection’s vibrant, nature-inspired motifs, with hardware details in gold, silver, and wood, to add depth and contrast. Inspired by the slow, deliberate rhythm of making, this collection reinforces Nanushka’s commitment to conscious and intentional craft.
Prints form the visual cornerstone of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, where twilled silk carries a 70s-inspired black and lilac swirl, introducing textural depth. Underscoring the dialogue between architecture and design, clashing geometric and graphic patterns echo the architecture and the layered, vibrant textures of Latin-American landscapes.
