Crocheted Bucket Bag
Multicolor
Description
Description
The Bucket Bag is rooted in our heritage. It is crocheted to create black and cream diamond Kopjafa motifs that are found on traditional Hungarian totems. It has a tasselled drawstring top so you can either expand or contract the elongated shape, and can be held in-hand or swung from one shoulder.
Nanushka partners with Origin Columbia, working with the Wayuu tribe based in the Guajira Peninsula of north-eastern Colombia and north-western Venezuela. The people of the Wayuu tribe use their technique and craft to tell the story of generational tradition. After years of practicing the art of weaving and crocheting, each bag is hand-sewn by one woman, making each piece unique from one to another. The Wayuu bag highlights the appreciation for the Wayuu tribe’s heritage and skill, connecting innovative craft and practicing conscious production.
